Succession successor?

NOTHING succeeds like Succession, and now that British writer Jesse Armstrong has announced that the latest series will be the last, everyone is thinking about the possibility of spin-offs, which would allow us to spend more time with these ruthless people, in that cutthroat world.

At the red carpet premiere in New York this week, star Brian Cox, who plays patriarch Logan Roy, said: ‘ I suppose Greg really would be the natural spin- off. The life of an idiot would be an interesting thing — a tall idiot at that.’

Sarah Snook, who plays Logan’s daughter Shiv, agreed: ‘Tom and Greg! Some sort of half-hour comedy, setting up the head office in . . .Vancouver.’

Nicholas Braun, who plays Greg (pictured far right with Matthew MacFadyen, who plays Tom) offered: ‘ You’d have to drop them into some weird world, drop them into the Philippines or something . . . some crazy micro-business world we never saw in the show. That’s the way.’
