HUMPHREY has a field day with this week’s mystery — it’s one that suits his unconventional thinking perfectly. A dead man is found in the centre of a crop circle, and working out how he got there and who he is proves to be quite the puzzler. The team also have to contend with the local conspiracy theorists, who are quick to believe it’s the work of aliens — especially when footage emerges of lights in the sky above the field. At the cafe, Martha (Sally Bretton, pictured) is preoccupied with a visit from a food critic, and it distracts her from an IVF appointment with Humphrey.
