Inexcusable behaviour

BORIS claims he is innocent of intentionally or recklessly misleading Parliament regarding his knowledge of the numerous parties at Downing Street during lockdown.

So, if he and his many trusted advisers didn’t understand their own rules, can someone explain why the rest of us did know the difference between right and wrong?

It would appear ordinary Joe Public had a far greater grasp of the rules than the rule-makers. All of the no 10 parties were inexcusable and the only defence Boris has is to admit he’s a blithering idiot surrounded by blithering idiots.

JOHN MATTHEWS, Middlesbrough, N. Yorks.

RULES are made for the mere guidance of wise people, but for the complete obedience of fools. We know in which group the public belongs.
