playwright Lucy Prebble, a writer on hit U.S. TV drama Succession, tries out her ideas on London cabbies. ‘I’ll tell people who don’t work in the industry, like my family or taxi drivers, the story or the idea, then I’ll just quietly see what their eyes do,’ says Prebble, 41, who worked on the TV series Secret Diary Of A Call Girl, starring Billie Piper.
She tells me: ‘If normal people have an excited reaction and their eyes haven’t glazed over, I’m much more likely to do it.’
