THE rain comes down, the waters rise and Steph, a young woman who can hardly see, is alone in a strange house. This sounds like the perfect setting for a horror story, but this carefully-crafted radio play, starring Charlotte Riley (pictured), is a comedy about relationships, phobias and determination. While Steph feels her way round the house, she’s guided, through one emergency after another, by a volunteer on the other end of her mobile phone, in this inventive and entertaining tale by Claudine Toutoungi.
