Snooping smartphones

Outside the vet’s, I was discussing a pet product that had been recommended when an advert for it popped up on my mobile.

But it’s not just my smartphone that is snooping on me (Mail).

My husband used some colourful language at home and Alexa, whose opinion we had not asked, ticked him off.

My dog was fast asleep, but still managed to sneak into my place on the sofa when I got up to make myself a drink. I wondered aloud how he had managed to do this and my tablet voiced ways that you can move in your sleep and three articles appeared on the same subject.

I feel as if I am being tracked and listened to 24/7. It’s fortunate I’m never up to no good.

Name and address supplied. I TOOK the teenage son of a friend to a football match. As we entered the stadium, his phone pinged with a message exhorting him to place a bet on the match.

PETER LEWIS, Wigan, Gtr Manchester.

I CAN switch off my smartphone so it can’t snoop on me, but how can I stop my wife keeping tabs on me? SAMUEL FAROOQ, London SW17.
