. . . AND FOUND

LAST month, retired art teacher Judith Woodward of Saltburn-by-the-Sea in North Yorkshire was hoping to track down Jennifer Beesley. ‘We met in 1968 in Sutton in Surrey; she worked for the BBC’s costume department. I was then a newlywed and a secondary school teacher. ‘In the 1970s, Jenny and her husband and daughter Katy moved to Helperby in North Yorkshire. Jenny later got divorced and took a job as a nanny for a family living near North Berwick. ‘We were last in touch in 1989, when she lived in Falkirk, where she had a wedding outfitting shop. I too was divorced by then, and my children and I went on many holidays with Jenny and Katy. As Jenny and I are almost 80, we may not have much time.’ Jennifer’s daughter Kate Hughes responded to the column, saying her mum would love to get back in touch. And from Judith: ‘I’m thrilled to have been reunited with Jenny and Kate. Thanks so much.’
