Don’t live in fear

I AgRee with Professor Angus dalgleish’s common sense analysis of the knee-jerk reaction to the new omicron variant (Mail).

With the knowledge we now have of Covid plus the excellent vaccines, we no longer need to live in fear.

Surely the time has come to live with this virus and its mutations, just as we live with the flu.

As the professor rightly says, let us retain the clear perspective and common sense that should prevail in a free society.

SONIA CARD, Bognor Regis, W. Sussex. ReSTRICTIonS have again been reintroduced due to fears that omicron, unlike other variants, might be vaccine resistant. The real danger is the public will grow tired of catastrophic predictions and ignore regulations.
