■ BRICK and roofing seller Brickability has been boosted by the bounce in the construction sector since lockdown restrictions eased in March.

In the six months to September revenue soared 197pc to £223.5m, up from £75.3m a year before.

The bricks division had the sharpest increase in revenue, up by 229pc, while roofing, heating, plumbing and joinery increased by more than 50pc.

The firm said that the UK housebuilding market remained strong and noted that the industry is forecast to continue to grow substantially. The shares rose 3.3pc, or 3.5p, to 109p.
