Sex shame actor freed from jail

ACTOR Kevin Guthrie has been freed from prison after winning an appeal against his three-year term for sexual assault.

The 34-year-old Sunshine on Leith star, pictured, was jailed last May for preying on a woman at a flat in Glasgow’s West End in September 2017.

Yesterday at the Court of Criminal Appeal in Edinburgh, defence advocate Ian Duguid, QC, successfully argued the sentence imposed was too lengthy. The appeal judges agreed and reduced the Guthrie’s sentence from three years to two.
