‘ I checked the stars to see if we match – the universe said no’

DATING PAST?

I MARRIED in my early 20s. Since the divorce, I’ve had a couple of short-term relationships, but I spent my 30s and 40s raising my son and building my business.

PRE-DATE NERVES?

I’m At a stage in life where I rarely get nervous.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS?

I’m A zen person, but I’d psyched myself up to meet my blind date. When I saw Jonny, I remembered that we’d met ten years ago at a health festival. I’m not surprised we were matched because we have lots in common. I guess it’s hard to find someone as quirky as me.

EASY TO TALK TO?

AFTER we discussed our work, we got on to our health regimens. It was a relief to be with someone who doesn’t drink or eat sugar, wheat or dairy. It meant I didn’t have to explain why I don’t eat those things. A lot of the time men don’t understand. Jonny was impressed by my ‘eco food container’ — I took the leftovers to eat on the train home.

EMBARRASSING MOMENTS?

Jonny did have a bit of wind! I think I was more embarrassed than he was. It was fine, though. It showed he felt comfortable with me.

DID SPARKS FLY?

It Would be great if there was that magical pull — but there wasn’t. Jonny has many attractive qualities but sadly I’m not attracted to him. I did check the stars to see why we may not be compatible. In 9 Star Ki astrology, which looks at the impact of solar and seasonal cycles, I’m a five and he’s a two — with that match we’d end up more as siblings.

LIKE TO SEE HIM AGAIN?

YES, as friends. It was nice to reconnect — the universe obviously had a plan for us to meet again.

After eating, we walked to Holland Park like an old married couple, then took off our shoes and socks for grounding — where you walk barefoot through the grass to ground you in the earth’s energies.

WHAT DO YOU THINK HE THOUGHT OF YOU?

WHEN we met ten years ago, there was some attraction. on the date he was a hard read; even though I’m intuitive, I couldn’t tell if he just saw me as a friend. We ended the date with a hug and I’ve since sent him details on inclined bed therapy.

WOULD YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS LIKE HIM?

YES, my mum would like Jonny. He’s an interesting guy who walks his own path in life, a bit like me.
