Bowl’s Canadian strike
HoLLyWooD Bowl has expanded overseas after revenue leapt following the impact of the pandemic.
The ten-pin bowling operator snapped up Canadian businesses splitsville and striker Bowling.
splitsville has five sites but it will invest to open ten new sites in five years.
Hollywood Bowl said revenues grew 26.8pc to £91.3m over the half-year to March compared with pre-pandemic levels. As a result, it leapt to adjusted earnings of £39.2m for the period.
stephen Burns, chief executive, said that the company saw ‘exceptional pent-up demand’, adding: ‘We are confident demand will remain resilient as families seek out affordable leisure activities.’
