WARRIORS BEEF UP PACK BY BRINGING IN MANJEZI

By CALUM CROWE

GLASGoW Warriors have completed the signing of South African lock Sintu Manjezi from United Rugby Championship rivals the Vodacom Bulls. The 27-year-old, who can also play in the back row, will join the Warriors in the summer subject to a medical and visa application. Manjezi will beef up the Warriors pack once he arrives and will provide an injection of fresh blood, with forwards Rob

Harley, Kiran McDonald and Hamish Bain all leaving. He will join fellow South African lock JP du Preez and Tongan back-row Sione Vailanu as new recruits in the Warriors pack next season. Manjezi will hope to make a big impact upon his arrival at Scotstoun.

He said: ‘i’m looking forward to playing for Glasgow and taking on a new challenge. ‘The opportunity of experiencing a new club outside of South Africa was one i couldn’t turn down. ‘i think my skillset will complement Glasgow’s style of play — i like to play with ball in hand and carry hard. ‘i can’t wait to get up to Glasgow and earn the right to wear the jersey.’
