■ MIRRIAD Advertising is benefiting from the issue of browsers banning cookies.

Cookies are code planted in browsers to log which websites users visit, helping to personalise advertising.

But Apple Safari browser and Mozilla Firefox have already blocked third-party cookies. Google follows suit next year. But Mirriad is one of the few firms in the world that can insert virtual ads in online content, overcoming the problem. Shares climbed 1.2pc, or 0.25p, at 20.5p.
