SHE famously enjoys a challenge, so it is not surprising that Anneka Rice embraced her most recent task with typical energy.

But this was one which she set herself: To pack up her beloved six-bedroomed riverside home after putting it up for sale for £4million-plus.

The TV presenter – who will return to screens with Challenge Anneka later this year – has moved out of the house overlooking the Thames in Barnes, south-west London.

Miss Rice, 63, said she is getting rid of ‘35 years of stuff’, with 1 items to go under the hammer for TV show The Yorkshire Auction House.

Lots include a George Smith Howard sofa, expected to fetch up to £2,000, and a Georgian bookcase, which could go for up to £800.

Other items include an 18th-century walnut side chair, Regency-style cabinet, 1 th century-style oak Wake table, billiards table and croquet set.

The mother-of-three shared a video of antiques expert Angus Ashworth stripping the property ahead of the auction on Friday.

On Instagram, she posted: ‘Let it go. Can’t hold it back anymore. I’m going to be a wreck when the truck drives away with 35 years of stuff...’

Another picture shows her standing in the back of a removals lorry with the caption: ‘Goodbye life!’

Miss Rice, who also owns a home on the Isle of Wight, bought the Grade IIlisted, bow-fronted property in 198 with Nick Allott, now her ex-husband.

It has three bathrooms, two large reception rooms, a wood-panelled billiards room and a dining area overlooking a courtyard garden.
