The app involves users swiping right to like someone and swiping left to reject them. Sean rad, who co-founded the app with Justin Mateen, said: ‘We always saw Tinder, the interface, as a game.’ According to Time magazine, they ‘modelled the original stack of potential matches’ on a deck of cards. When playing with physical cards for inspiration, their natural urge was to interact with the top card by throwing it to the side. Thus, the iconic Tinder swipe was born.
