What a poor result

AT 5pm on a Saturday, a hush would descend. When the football results were read out on the radio, I hardly dared to breathe, knowing full well that if Dad won the pools we would be wealthy beyond our wildest dreams. Now it seems the BBC has decided to stop broadcasting the football results despite the anger of the many folk who still honour this tradition.
