Middleton’s pup Bertie trains to be a Guide Dog

THE Princess of Wales’s dog-loving brother, James Middleton, has named one of his Golden Retriever Mabel’s eight puppies Bertie, after the Queen’s father, Albert, who reigned as George VI. And Bertie is going to become a Guide Dog for the Blind.

‘The Queen dedicated her life to service and it’s with great pride that I can announce Bertie has been chosen to dedicate his life to service, too,’ Middleton says. ‘I wanted to donate a puppy to become a future assistance dog and this is where Guide Dogs came in and Bertie’s journey began.’
