KATE’S wardrobe choices for her US tour have been stylishly sedate, but for her first solo event yesterday she pulled out a showstopper.

The Princess of Wales looked stunning in a figure-hugging blue houndstooth dress, a bespoke design from Emilia Wickstead.

It’s adapted from the British designer’s Miles midi-dress, which retails at £1,150, and is made from a lightweight textured georgette.

Sure, it’s a traditional shape but the addition of collared top and long pencil-style skirt adds intrigue.

Kate’s design also comes with the addition of a belt which accentuated her figure. She completed the look with the Mulberry Harlow Satchel in blue, £895 and her favourite Gianvito Rossi suede court shoes, £600.

Her earrings are Gold Spine hoops from British jeweller Lenique Louis, who was selected as brand ambassador for Princes Trust back in 2016.
