Asda staff save stricken toddler
TWO supermarket workers have been hailed as heroes after they helped save a toddler who had stopped breathing.
Asda staff Dean Carpenter, 61, and James Jenkins, 55, sprang into action to aid 16-monthold Finlay who suffered convulsions while visiting the store at the Edinburgh Jewel with parents Beth Williams and Jack Allan, both 21.
They gave first aid until paramedics arrived, with Mr Carpenter massaging the tot’s chest when he stopped breathing. He is now well.
Miss Williams said: ‘We’re so grateful for everything they did. It’s a parent’s worst nightmare.’
