THAT’S A BOUNCING BABY!

SUCH was her size when she was born that her surprised mother checked to see if she might be a record holder.

Weighing in at 12lb 9oz, newborn Tabitha is one of the UK’s biggest babies and already wearing clothes for tots aged three to six months.

Ruth Harvey, 36, delivered Tabitha in a birthing pool at home in Dundonald, Ayrshire, on February 28, supported by partner Eddie Gillan, 44, and a team of midwives.

Ms Harvey, who works for a family support service, said after her eightand-a-half-hour labour: ‘Tabitha was born two-and-a-half weeks over her due date. She looked well cooked.’
