WILL SIR MACCA RIDE TO THE ROYAL RESCUE?

THE line-up for the Coronation Concert has yet to be confirmed — and seems to be causing nearly as much trouble as squeezing an RSVP out of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

However there is hope that Sir Paul McCartney will save the day after Adele, Elton John, The Spice Girls, Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles all turned the gig down.

I’m told by a perfectly placed source that Macca has just booked rehearsals with his band for April, suggesting that he is getting ready to lead celebrations on the night.

But a spokesman for Sir Paul insists he isn’t practising for the Coronation gig — so it looks as if there’s going to be a right royal disappointment unless he has a change of heart.

The concert will be broadcast live from Windsor by the BBC on Sunday, May 7.
