Ferry and Open Goal to end Broomhill deal

BROOMHILL FC and football media platform Open Goal have confirmed they are ending their partnership, with Simon Ferry departing as manager. The former Dundee and Peterhead midfielder was named boss of the Lowland League outfit last May. The club was rebranded ‘Open Goal Broomhill FC’ from the start of the new season with the partnership hailed by both parties as ‘revolutionary’. But 10 months later the club announced that Ferry and his coaching staff, Derek Lyle and Paul Slane, will be stepping down at the end of the season and that the commercial partnership will end. Broomhill currently sit 11th in the Lowland League.

JAMES McPake has agreed a new contract to stay as Dunfermline boss until 2026. The former Dundee manager took over at the Pars last summer and has led them to the brink of promotion back to the Championship. Assistant Dave Mackay has also penned an extension.
