ALLEGATION 1:

Told a woman at a CBI conference in 2019 ‘that dress really suits your figure’.

HE SAYS: Admits it, but his swift apology was accepted.

ALLEGATION 2:

Touched a woman’s bottom at a CBI event in 2019.

HE SAYS: Denies the claim, explaining he was busy looking after the then Chancellor Philip Hammond, who was guest of honour.

ALLEGATION 3:

Remarked at a CBI event in 2021 that a woman’s dress made ‘it hard to concentrate on anything else’.

HE SAYS: His computerised personal diary shows that he was not even at the event.

ALLEGATION 4:

Patted a woman on the bottom at the 2022 Tesco AGM.

HE SAYS: Exhaustive inquiries and CCTV footage have yielded no evidence to support the claim. ‘I am innocent . . . and I think Tesco can prove it,’ he adds.
