Suits you, Orlando! All you need now is a shirt

AT a glance, it seemed that his crisp white suit had been stained from top to bottom. And he also appeared to have forgotten to put on a shirt before heading out.

But Orlando Bloom’s curious ensemble was all in the name of fashion, and managed to turn a few heads as he walked the red carpet in Cannes yesterday.

The actor, 46, was promoting his new film Gran Turismo, which tells the true story of British racing driver Jann Mardenborough, who in 2011 became the third winner of the GT Academy at age 19.

In a suit sprayed with blue and green, Bloom posed next to his co-star, former Spice Girl Geri Horner, 50, who also wore white to the event at the Carlton Beach Club.

Despite never sitting in an actual race car before, Mardenborough beat 90,000 gamers to win GT Academy and a chance to race at the Dubai 24 Hour race.

He is played by Archie Madekwe, with Djimon Hounsou playing his father and Ms Horner his mother, while Bloom plays Danny Moore, who is based on real GT Academy founder Darren Cox.
