■ XL MEDIA fell 20pc, or 2.25p, to 9p after the firm, which makes content for the sports betting and gaming industries, warned half-year revenues would be lower than hoped.

The group cashed in on the launch of online sports betting in Ohio, US, during the first quarter of 2023.

But sales in Massachusetts fell short of expectations. And with operators spending less on promotions, revenue for the six months to June 30 will be below the £36m it made the year before.
