Target small boats

THE Prime Minister’s mantra is ‘stop the boats’, but what he really means is stop the migrants.

Literally stopping the boats could be the right way to proceed. The Government could buy up all the small boats before the smugglers could get their hands on them. They could even buy up the factories that manufacture the boats. This would almost certainly be a lot cheaper than rescuing, and then dealing with, thousands of migrants.
