BBC1, from 6am, 12.45pm & 12.10am

There’s another bumper day of action ahead, beginning with the women’s singles tennis final. Local favourite Naomi Osaka, in her first tournament since taking a break for personal reasons, was desperate to do well on home soil, but she’ll have had strong competition from the likes of new Wimbledon champion Ashleigh Barty.

Of most interest to Team GB fans will be the women’s 100m final at 1.50pm. Dina Asher-Smith (right) should be involved but can she improve on the silver she won in the same event at the World Championships in 2019?

Later, the first-ever mixed 4x400m reaches its conclusion, and the new men’s and women’s BMX finals take place, with Britain’s Charlotte Worthington among the medal favourites. Also on the schedule are the men’s 100m heats on the track and more swimming action from the pool.
