Crossdale’s dream start for Wasps
ALI CROSSDALE’S two first-half tries made him an instant Midlands hit as Wasps opened their Premiership account with a thumping win.
Crossdale, a 2021 England shadow player, made a summer move from Saracens. ‘You saw how fast he is — there is plenty more to come,’ said coach Lee Blackett of a 23-year-old who is normally a wing but played 15 here.
Wasps lost Brad Shields to a red card after two yellows and Malakai Fekitoa, who dislocated his shoulder, but still managed six tries.
Bristol director of rugby Pat Lam said: ‘We created opportunities but were not good enough to take them.’
