The Good Fight

More4, 9pm

If you’re looking for mindless escapism, this isn’t the show for you. But devoted fans of The Good Fight have always appreciated its treatment of substantial issues in a mature, intelligent fashion.

Now the legal drama set in Chicago returns to confront racial issues, as the opening episode of this ten-part fifth season looks back over the turbulent events of 2020. For Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski, right) there’s the troubling question of whether it would be right for her as a white woman to be a partner at an African-American law firm.

As we prepare to bid farewell to Boseman (Delroy Lindo) and Quinn (Cush Jumbo), look out for Homeland’s Mandy Patinkin as an ordinary man who, despite having no training, has decided to help people take control of the legal process by running his own court.
