In Louisiana in 1966, Gary Duncan, a black fisherman, spotted a group of white boys picking on his teen cousins and attempted to defuse the situation. He was subsequently arrested. This documentary looks at how Duncan and his young Jewish lawyer, Richard Sobol, took on a racist system to fight their case all the way to the Supreme Court.
