Sue’s still a winner with TV quiz fans

Your article about Question Of Sport losing its audience was quite moving. This much-loved programme has entertained millions of viewers for years, and those millions are still puzzled as to why the format has been changed. To say that Sue Barker is too old is an insult to people of her age.

David Harvey, Chippenham

The previously enjoyable Question Of Sport has overnight turned into a programme that could only be described as a shambles hosted by a comedian. I will join fellow deserters and sports enthusiasts in protest by switching off. Sam Bhathena, Ipswich

I love Sue Barker but the show’s format was tired and old. To give the BBC its due, it has at least tried to freshen up the programme. David Jones, Bristol

People don’t like change but it does lead to new blood getting into showbiz and you can’t deny that Sue, Matt Dawson and Phil Tufnell (above) had a good run for their money.

P. Fitzgerald, Manchester

If I were Sue, I’d have taken the BBC to court. High court, grass court, clay court – even at 65, she’d still have beaten them! Vincent Hefter,

Richmond, Surrey
