Derby 1 Shinnie 78

DERBY assistant manager Liam Rosenior branded Coventry ‘the best team we’ve played all season’.

Graeme Shinnie’s rasping half-volley cancelled out the returning Matty Godden’s first-half penalty to secure a fourth draw on the bounce.

Rosenior was left to his own devices in the dug-out as manager Wayne Rooney was unable to attend the game after failing to recover from illness. He said: ‘I think these are the best team we’ve played this season. They’re outstanding at what they do and they’ve got an outstanding home record.’

Mark Robins admitted that he was happy with a point. ‘The game always starts to throw up strange results after threegame weeks,’ he said.

‘The players deserve an awful amount of credit.’
