■ DAYS after Lazio’s eagle trainer was suspended for making fascist salutes and hailing wartime dictator Benito Mussolini they have called up Il Duce’s great-grandson.

Romano Floriani Mussolini, an 18-year-old right-back, has been drafted in by Lazio’s ex-Chelsea chief Maurizio Sarri for the club’s Serie A clash with Verona today.

The timing has raised eyebrows coming just a few days after eagle trainer Juan Bernabe was pictured making a fascist salute to fans.

■ BRENDAN RODGERS has denied reports that star midfielder Youri Tielemans has rejected a new contract at Leicester City.

Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked with the Belgium international, while Real Madrid and Barcelona are also interested.

Leicester have offered Tielemans a lucrative new deal that would make him one of the club’s highest earners. The 24-year-old has less than two years left on his current deal.
