So THAT’s why Mick’s still got a glint in his eye!

He dons light therapy glasses said to boost your energy and mood – before cuddle with lover 44 years his junior

HE’S an enduring style icon who has pioneered some iconic looks over the decades… but Mick Jagger’s latest accessory is eyecatching, even by his outlandish standards.

The 78-year-old was spotted in a pair of futuristic-looking glasses on his hotel balcony last week, as our exclusive photographs show.

However, they were no fashion statement but a pair of ‘light therapy’ specs said to help combat the signs of ageing.

Priced between £130 and £300, they cast an artificial blue light over the face and eyes which, it is claimed, improves mood, regulates sleep and eases depression, anxiety, chronic pain and seasonal affective disorder.

Maybe they hold the key to the rocker’s youthful energy. Or perhaps it’s all down to dating a woman 44 years his junior.

After removing the gadget, the Rolling Stones frontman was joined on the balcony of the Florida hotel by Melanie Hamrick, the mother of his fiveyear-old son Deveraux.

They shared a moment enjoying the Miami seaside vista below before the 34-year-old ballerina – dressed in a low-cut vest with her hair tied back into a bun – cuddled her partner.

The tender moment came hours before The Rolling Stones played the final show of their 58-date No Filter worldwide tour at the

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino that evening. It marked the end of a troubled time on the road, delayed by Sir Mick undergoing surgery to replace a heart valve two years ago, the Covid pandemic, and the death of drummer Charlie Watts in September at the age of 80.

Ms Hamrick, who has been dating Sir Mick since 2014, has been at his side through all the ups and downs of the past four years of on-off touring. But given the gruelling schedule, it’s no wonder the rocker has turned to the light therapy glasses to help maintain his famed stamina and elasticity on stage.

It is claimed that the batterypowered gadgets, which are normally worn for up to an hour, increase energy, banish tiredness, boost productivity and improve performance.

Manufacturers report that sales have been booming in the past year, even though Sir Mick is the first celebrity to have been seen wearing a pair.

While on the balcony, the fatherof-eight also took the opportunity to use an electric shaver to banish any stubble before hitting the beach in a straw hat and shades, kicking off his shoes on the sand.

Ms Hamrick took pictures of him on the beach – later shared with his 2.3million Instagram followers – including some showing him relaxing on a deckchair in a pair of ribbed yellow trousers and a green tiger-print jacket, further cementing his reputation as a fashion pioneer.

Whatever Sir Mick is doing to stay young is clearly working. A review of the evening’s gig in front of 6,5000 fans praised the way Sir Mick ‘whipped the crowd into a frenzy by shuffling, sidestepping, kicking and shimmying across the stage’.
