Billy Connolly: In His Own Words

Channel 5, 9pm The Big Yin (below) recently published his autobiography Windswept & Interesting, in which he tells extraordinary tales of his childhood and rise to fame. He does something similar in this programme, which uses archive interviews, clips from TV shows and stand-up routines to chart a path through his life from his childhood in a Glasgow tenement to his success as a performer.
