YOUR AMAZING BODY

YOU might think the urge to go to the toilet means that your bladder is full, but this is never true.

The bladder only ever fills up to half its capacity, at which point it sends signals to the brain giving a warning that it is time to go.

However, this means that the brain is able to override the impulse, giving you time to find somewhere suitable to do your business.

Experts say this is why distracting the brain by focusing on something else can make the urge disappear – albeit temporarily.
