Swift start boosts Hull

RUGBY LEAGUE: Hull FC winger Adam Swift scored two tries in the first 13 minutes to ignite a 31-22 win over Wigan in Super League.

Hull were 12-0 in front yet Wigan pulled it back to 18-18 early in the second half after Bevan French crossed for Wigan’s third score.

Carlos Tuimavave immediately responded with Hull’s fifth score, Liam Farrell replied for Wigan but home prop Chris Satae had the last word with the 10th try of the match.

Meanwhile, Catalans Dragons scored 16 unanswered secondhalf points during their 20-8 comeback win over Hull KR.

And St Helens have said they will issue lifetime bans to any fans identified throwing objects on to the pitch during Thursday’s 12-10 win over Warrington.
