Half of parents admit tracking their children
NEARLY half of parents use technology to monitor their children’s whereabouts, a survey has suggested.
In the poll of 2,000 parents, many admit to keeping tabs on them by using GPS gadgets or smartphone apps. But some also resort to less sophisticated methods, such as following them in disguise or joining video game chats under a different name, according to the research for Spacetalk, which makes smartwatches for youngsters.
Parents from London were found to be the most likely to track their children, while those from Manchester were the least likely.
