DANNY SCHOFIELD

expressed his pride as Huddersfield secured their first win of his tenure.

Lewis Baker had an early penalty saved for the visitors and Jacob Brown struck a post prior to Yuta Nakayama’s opener for Huddersfield.

Baker made amends with a precise finish, but substitute Duane Holmes helped turn the tie in Huddersfield’s favour, providing two assists for Danny Ward and Jordan Rhodes respectively late on.

Schofield said: ‘It’s massive for us. The longer you go without a win, you do feel it becomes more difficult and there’s more focus on losses.’
