Outstanding three-part 2011 BBC version of Charles Dickens’s coming-of-age story about Pip the orphan and his mysterious benefactor. A tremendous cast includes Gillian Anderson as Miss Havisham, Izzy Meikle-Small (inset, right) as the younger version of the jilted bride, and Ray Winstone, terrifying as the convict Magwitch. Douglas Booth is Pip, and Poirot star David Suchet (right, with Booth) plays Pip’s lawyer Mr Jaggers. Top trivia: Pip’s pal Herbert Pocket is played by Harry Lloyd, who is Dickens’s greatgreat-great-grandson. From Sunday
