A handsome-looking historical drama that is a Netflix original. When Elisabeth (Devrim Lingnau) falls for Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph and becomes his unlikely bride, she enters a world of intrigue at the Habsburg court where she has to deal with her mother-inlaw and with Franz’s brother Maxi who wants the throne for himself. OK, so 19th Century aristocrats didn’t say things like ‘Everyone wants a piece of you’, but there’s still a lot to enjoy here. Also features Elisa Schlott (left). From Thursday
