Helen and her leading man... still dazzling on the red carpet

By Padraic Flanagan

THEY last left audiences buzzing in The Mosquito Coast 36 years ago, but Hollywood legends Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford show they still have star power.

The pair dazzled when they walked the red carpet together on Friday for the premiere of their new series 1923, a spinoff from the popular western drama Yellowstone.

Oscar-winner Mirren, 77, and leading man Ford, 80, play the central pair of Jacob and Cara Dutton, who struggle to keep their ranching empire.

The Queen star was a picture of English elegance in a tailored black suit. She arrived at the Paramount+ event in Los Angeles with her husband of 25 years, the director Taylor Hackford, 77.

Ford, soon to don his fedora for a fifth and final time in Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny, wore blue jeans and a navy blazer.

He was joined later by his wife, Ally McBeal star Calista Flockhart, 58.

The prequel, premiering on December 18 on the Paramount+ channel, is the second after last year’s 1883.

The fifth season of Yellowstone began last month.
