VAT would kill public schools
In response to the article last week about Sir Keir Starmer facing a class-war storm over his plan for a VAT hit on privateschool fees, it seems Labour just want to drive working middle classes out of them and force their closure with less political impact.

Removing charity status from private schools would not abolish them and would not be ‘class war’. It would simply reflect the fact that most people rightly do not consider them to be charitable institutions.
The larger, well-known private schools exist simply to give the children of the rich the right contacts and the right exam results.
