Lunch on a shoestring? Only the finest for ’tec Trevor and A-list Alice

WHEN he was the scruffy 1970s TV detective Eddie Shoestring, the nearest Trevor Eve ever came to a swanky restaurant was probably Bristol’s Wimpy bar.

Now – perhaps thanks to his Hollywood star daughter Alice – he’s been spotted tucking in to Mayfair’s finest, at celebrity hotspot Scott’s.

The father and daughter pair acted alongside each other in the 2010 rom-com She’s Out Of

My League, while Alice has hit the big time in her own right, with roles in Sex And The City 2, Star Trek Into Darkness and Men In Black 3.

Alice, 42, and Trevor, 71 – still dressed casually in classic Shoestring style – were seen, above and right, heading for the London restaurant renowned for its seafood, offering delicacies such as platinum caviar and grilled lobster to the rich and famous.
