You could try a Fonda farewell to the ex, Jane!

In last week’s You magazine, Jane Fonda (left) advised those getting through the pain of a break-up to put a rubber band on their wrist and every time they feel like ‘sticking a knife into the f ***** , snap it hard’.

I used that trick to stop smoking and it worked too. I might use it when my next relationship fails.

I wouldn’t say that punishing your body was the healthiest way to get over a break-up. My advice would be to practise forgiveness and move on.

I always get a kick out of

Jane Fonda. She is never afraid to speak her mind and she surely isn’t the only woman who has had a difficult break-up. I for one can’t wait to watch her in 80 For Brady alongside three other fabulous women, Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno and Sally Field.

Beth Murray, Derby

Divorce is a good and necessary thing, especially when two people have become incompatible. Jane Fonda’s bitter reaction shows her interests in controlling the narrative and her egotistical behaviour. It takes two to tango, and I’m quite sure the men in her life have true stories to tell as well.

Adrian Morgan,

Chichester
