Harry in trouble despite double
HARRY NEWMAN was urged to ‘manage his emotions’ after being sinbinned but also scoring twice for Leeds as they beat Catalans 32-22.
The 23-year-old centre is rated as one of Super League’s finest talents but lost his head in the 44th minute, with the Rhinos trailing 22-8.
Newman’s yellow card for dissent could have proved costly but Rohan Smith’s men went on to score five second-half tries, two of which came when their star man was in the bin.
Leeds boss Smith said: ‘Every player needs to learn to manage emotion and that’s the critical part to being a high performer.’
Catalans Dragons coach Steve McNamara said: ‘What’s important now is how we react.’
