John Weir (Kiefer Sutherland, above) is a top operator in the world of corporate espionage. He manipulates people to influence markets. He can trick a hedge fund into selling off valuable stock, triggering a share-price collapse so you can swoop in and snap it up cheap. When he is framed for murder by powerful forces with the ability to influence and control populations, Hailey (Meta Golding, above left), a woman with whom he had a casual one-night stand, might be the only person he can trust. This is Mission: Impossible meets The Game, full of twists and with a strong comedic element. It’s utterly preposterous yet impossible to stop watching.
