CHANGING ENDS

ITVX COMEDY

Alan has joked in the past that perhaps he was switched at birth, and it’s this chalk-and-cheese family scenario that forms the basis of his autobiographical sitcom, which he co-wrote with Two Doors Down’s Simon Carlyle. Carr himself pops up from time to time to comment on events, but it’s Oliver Savell, right with Carr, who plays young Alan as he grows up in 1980s Northampton preferring Miss Marple to Match Of The Day. Shaun Dooley and Nancy Sullivan co-star as his parents. From Thursday
