Ex-Coronation Street star Sally Lindsay (centre right) was one of the creators of Scott & Bailey, which was a huge hit for ITV. She’ll be hoping her latest brainchild, in which she takes the lead role, is just as successful.

Lindsay plays Jean White, a Cheshirebased antiques dealer whose life is turned upside down by the sudden death of her husband Rory. The grief-stricken widow then discovers that all her savings have vanished and the business is mortgaged up to the hilt – her only asset being a picturesque cottage in the South of France.

When she learns that an expensive ring is missing from Rory’s effects, Jean smells a rat and decides to investigate her other half’s mysterious demise – a move that could land her in all sorts of trouble.
